Event Destination Spotlight – AZ

From the moment we approached the entrance…Montelucia’s story began; this venue literally entices you before you even set a foot inside.  Inspired by Spain’s Andalusia Region & nestled at the base of the dramatic Camelback Mountain, a rich palette of color, beautiful archways and over-sized wooden doors suspended with ageless chains, beckon entrance to this special oasis. And that’s just the entry!

No expense was spared and no detail overlooked as this venue was designed & built in 2008.  The vision that created this space brought to life a luxurious gem in the heart of Scottsdale that transports you to another time & place.

From start to finish, the staff service was warm, welcoming & knowledgeable. Nothing pretentious about this team at all; through & through they were there to serve.

The guest rooms are over-sized & well appointed; rooms you could comfortably work, relax and stay in far longer than the average ‘hotel room’….I didn’t want to leave.

The meeting space and ballrooms are easily accessed from anywhere on the property, and have an intimate flow and touches of exotic elegance everywhere you turn.

The grounds transform from graceful fountains & manicured beauty by day, to a dramatically lit playground at night…mystery hangs in the air at Montelucia & by night, it comes alive.  It was easy to imagine belly-dancers & snake charmers…Spanish guitars & Hookah bars …if faced with producing an event on a budget – this venue needs no decor; the budget can be directed entirely to entertainment for special events!

And truly…the spa has a combined spiritual, calming and elegance about it that makes it a rare find.

Finally, the food.  From pool-side fare to evening cuisine, the food was just another thing that Montelucia got right; it was delicious & boasted a wonderful selection of wines.

For those wishing to both impress & inspire their conference attendees or special event guests in the heart of the desert – Montelucia is a ‘must-consider’ venue.
